Dr. Richard K. Hammer to Present at Healthcare Executives Forum of Central Pennsylvania Event

Charleston, SC December 8, 2017 – SE Healthcare’s Interim CEO, Richard K. Hammer, MD, is an invited speaker at the Healthcare Executives Forum of Central Pennsylvania’s Empower Diversity and The Executive’s Role in Patient Safety event at Pinnacle West Shore Hospital in Mechanicsburg, PA on December 13, 2017. Dr. Hammer will participate in a panel including Regina Hoffman, Brooks Turkel, and Stacey Ann Okoth to discuss the organizational infrastructure required to successfully implement an effective patient safety program.
In his presentation, Engage Physicians, Reduce Risk and Increase Revenue, Dr. Hammer will address the importance of physician risk and reputation, and how to recognize behavior patterns associated with physician burnout that could increase liability. He will also explain why utilizing SE Healthcare’s Physician Empowerment Suite, a set of specialty-specific survey platforms and tools developed under the direction of respected physicians, legal experts and risk management thought leaders is essential to help increase physician productivity and revenue cycle management.
The Healthcare Executives Forum of Central Pennsylvania (HEF) is the local chartered chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), serving the central region of Pennsylvania. Professionals ranging from early careerists to directors and executive staff will be in attendance.
Dr. Hammer is a board-certified physician with more than 20 years of experience in health care delivery and the business of medicine. He has experience creating and implementing practical solutions for health plans, employer groups, integrated medical systems, private physician groups and insurers. He served as Vice President of Clinical Market Development for BlueCross where he developed and led a market facing team of physician medical directors focused on accountable care, physician engagement, health plan customers and broker/consultant relations.
